Privacy Policy
Last updated October 27, 2026
This policy explains what Automatok (“we”, “us”), operated by [Operator legal name], collects when you use the service, how we use it, and the choices you have. Automatok helps you create photo slideshows and publish them to social media accounts you connect.
Information we collect
- Account information. When you sign in with Google or Apple we receive your name, email address and, if available, your profile picture.
- TikTok account information. When you connect TikTok we receive your TikTok open ID, username, display name and avatar, and access tokens that let us publish on your behalf. We request only the permissions needed to show which account you connected (user.info.basic) and to publish or send drafts of your slideshows (video.publish, video.upload).
- Content you create. Images you upload or generate, slideshow text, captions, campaign settings, schedules and notes you save (such as product descriptions and brand notes).
- Usage and technical data. Records of posts we published for you, their status, monthly usage counts, and standard server logs (IP address, browser type, timestamps) used for security and troubleshooting.
How we use information
- To provide the service: sign you in, store your work, render slideshows and publish them when you ask or schedule it.
- To show you which social accounts are connected and the status of each post.
- To generate slide text and images when you use AI features.
- To keep the service secure, prevent abuse and enforce plan limits.
- To contact you about your account or important changes to the service.
We do not sell your personal information and do not use your TikTok data for advertising. TikTok data is used only to publish the content you create and to display your connected account inside Automatok.
Service providers
We share data only with providers that help us run the service, under their own privacy and security terms:
- Supabase: hosting of our database, authentication and file storage.
- Google and Apple: sign-in.
- TikTok: publishing your slideshows to the account you connect.
- Anthropic: writing slide text and captions from the topic and notes you provide.
- OpenAI: generating images from prompts you write, when you use image generation.
- Pexels: searching stock photos when you use photo search.
Storage and security
Data is stored with our hosting providers. TikTok access tokens are encrypted at rest and never shown in the app. Access to each workspace is restricted to its members.
Retention and deletion
- Disconnecting a TikTok account in Settings deletes its stored tokens and profile details.
- You can also revoke access at any time in the TikTok app under Settings and privacy → Security → Apps and services permissions.
- Deleting your workspace in Settings → Danger zone permanently deletes its campaigns, slideshows, images and connections.
- To delete your account entirely, email us at [contact email]. We complete requests within 30 days.
Cookies
We use only cookies that are needed to keep you signed in and to complete sign-in with Google, Apple and TikTok. Display preferences such as theme are stored in your browser.
Children
Automatok is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, or to object to how we use it. Contact us at [contact email] to make a request.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date above and, for significant changes, notify you in the app or by email.
